Teeth whitening

We offer two types of teeth whitening options at our dental practice, both of them being proven to help in brightening your smile. The first one is our in-practice teeth whitening session, which is when our dentist in Doncaster East will apply a high-quality, professional whitening gel on your teeth, and leave it to sit underneath a bright light to help whiten them. This may be repeated a few times during your appointment to get the best results possible.

If you would prefer to whiten your own teeth from the comfort of your home, then we also offer an at-home whitening kit that you can do yourself. This kit contains whitening trays that fit snuggly around your teeth and whitening gel, so you are all set to go. All you need to do is fill the trays with the whitening gel, and wear them for a few hours each day or during sleep. You may see results after doing this for a few days, but usually they come after around 2 weeks of doing the treatment.

Veneers

Your dentist in Doncaster East can also provide veneers for you. This is suited best to people who have severely stained teeth, or teeth that are small and/or slightly misshapen. These veneers are usually made out of porcelain, but can also be made out of composite resin. Both bring their own advantages, but porcelain is usually the more popular option. To put it simply, veneers are a tooth-shaped shell that is attached to the front of your teeth. This means we don’t have to shave your natural teeth down to nibs, we just take off a thin layer to make way for the veneers.

This treatment isn’t a very invasive one, as it only requires us to take a thin layer off the front of your teeth, and attach the veneers. This is great for people who may be more nervous about having cosmetic treatment as it does not require any drilling or super invasive techniques. You can choose to have veneers on multiple teeth, or just a single one, it’s completely up to you. Our dentist in Doncaster East will make sure you are as comfortable as possible during any procedure.

Crowns and bridges

These two treatments are great for restoring your smile, as both of them have a natural-looking appearance and can be done in a pretty quick amount of time. Crowns are similar to veneers, but instead of being attached to just the front of your teeth, they fit around them. The fact that the crown fits around your teeth brings both aesthetic and health benefits. As well as looking like a new tooth, it protects your natural tooth inside from further damage.

Bridges are great if you are looking to restore multiple teeth, or just a single tooth if you wish. A bridge is a single or row of teeth that are supported by abutments for durability. Two of these abutments can hold around 4 teeth.
