Teeth can become decayed or damaged and may need to be completely covered up with a protective dental crown. Where teeth are missing completely, provided the adjacent teeth are strong and healthy, we can normally replace them with a tooth-supported bridge.

What is a Crown and When Would I Need This Treatment?

We will suggest using a crown to completely cover up a tooth that has lost a significant part of its original structure, leaving it weak and vulnerable to damage. Crowns are also used to restore teeth following root canal treatment. Your crown will fit snugly over your tooth, protecting it and restoring its strength, size and appearance.

What Is a Bridge and When Would I Need This Treatment?

A bridge can restore one or more adjacent missing teeth. Your bridge will be supported by crowns fitted onto the abutment teeth. These are the teeth adjacent to the gap. Replacement teeth are attached to these crowns to form a strong, durable restoration.

Will My Crown or Bridge Look and Feel Natural?

We take enormous care when designing these restorations and liaise closely with the technical team at our dental laboratory to ensure your new teeth look and feel natural and are fully functional. By using high-quality porcelains combined with the most advanced techniques, we can restore your smile and your ability to eat in comfort. The most advanced restorations are entirely metal-free, made only from durable and beautiful ceramics, providing the very highest aesthetics.
Smile 1
Before before
After After

Patient has had a crown since he was in his teens and was not happy with the colour, shape and very inflamed gum above the tooth. The old porcelain fixed to metal crown was replaced with a full ceramic crown and the colour was matched by our ceramist.

The patient was thrilled with his new crown and so was his gum

Smile 2
Before before
After After

Patient wanted to fix the gap on the upper left next to her front tooth but did not want an implant. We were able to bond a ceramic bridge replacing the left side front tooth and improve our patients smile.
