We recommend regular six-monthly visits for children so our dentist can closely examine their teeth and jaws. Children with a higher risk of developing tooth decay may benefit from more frequent dental check-ups. These visits allow us to closely monitor their dental health so any changes are quickly identified. By detecting small changes, any necessary treatment is usually quicker and less invasive and more easily tolerated by a young child.
Will My Child Need X-Rays at Each Visit?
Children do need more frequent x-rays than adults because their teeth and jaws are developing so rapidly. We use advanced digital x-ray equipment and every precaution is taken to ensure your child’s is protected.
