Our family oriented practice is highly experienced in children’s dental care and we will treat your child as if they were our own. We are particularly gentle when seeing a nervous child and can help them to relax during their visit to Family Dental Care. Our warm and comfortable dental practice can provide all the treatments your child is likely to require as their teeth grow and develop.
We Focus on Preventative Dentistry
Our focus is on preventative dental care, especially for children. We know it is possible for children to grow up with healthy cavity-free smiles, provided they receive excellent dental treatment from a very early age. Every child receives a customised treatment plan, based on their personal risk of developing tooth decay or other dental problems. By identifying these risks, we can provide the most appropriate and advanced procedures to minimise or eliminate these risks. Our preventative dental care treatments include fissure sealants, fluoride treatments and mouthguards.
When Should My Child First See a Dentist?
We recommend children first see a dentist by age one, as they can become accustomed to the sights, sounds and smells of a dental practice hopefully well before they require any treatment. New parents frequently find these visits very useful, as we can demonstrate the best way to clean a child’s teeth and we can discuss other factors that can affect a child’s dental health.
