What is Root Canal Treatment?

Root canal treatment removes the infected pulp and the root canals that extend from the pulp into your tooth roots. Once all the infection is removed, the tooth is disinfected and can be permanently restored with a crown that will completely cover and protect the tooth. This prevents the infection from re-occurring, preserving your tooth and restoring its strength, structure and appearance.
