We will suggest using a crown to completely cover up a tooth that has lost a significant part of its original structure, leaving it weak and vulnerable to damage. Crowns are also used to restore teeth following root canal treatment. Your crown will fit snugly over your tooth, protecting it and restoring its strength, size and appearance.
A bridge can restore one or more adjacent missing teeth. Your bridge will be supported by crowns fitted onto the abutment teeth. These are the teeth adjacent to the gap. Replacement teeth are attached to these crowns to form a strong, durable restoration.
Patient has had a crown since he was in his teens and was not happy with the colour, shape and very inflamed gum above the tooth. The old porcelain fixed to metal crown was replaced with a full ceramic crown and the colour was matched by our ceramist.
Patient wanted to fix the gap on the upper left next to her front tooth but did not want an implant. We were able to bond a ceramic bridge replacing the left side front tooth and improve our patients smile.
We’ll then take a look at it and get back to you with potential treatment options to meet your needs
